The Super shotgun is an upgraded shotgun. While satisfyingly brutal and good for blasting apart groups of weak foes, the slow firing rate can make you vulnerable, and two shells are consumed with each shot (making your clip effectively half as large). You will also struggle with armored targets, like the rocks in the Black Canyon.
This gun can be frustrating initially, when you have a small clip size and long reload to deal with. But if you scoop up those firing-rate bonuses, by the time you get to Athena you'll be able to empty most of the magazine in a second, and this means you'll be able to liquefy anything in a cone in front of you.

- Choosing your shots carefully is a must, but only the most skilled fighters can keep a cool enough head to do that when the battle is raging all around them.
